The main objective of the project preparation study is to assess the interest, viability and feasibility of setting up an outreach export skills training facility for trainers in different local private sector oriented organisations. The Programme shall operate with an integrated approach of class room based training (for trainers/trainees) and direct training/coaching in a number of companies both for the satisfaction of trainees and companies. |

Scope of Work
- Before field research a draft programme was displayed. The draft was used as discussion paper with potential partner organisations, trainee organisations and other relevant parties in Bolivia.
- An assessment of whether the Programme and its various components was in line with the development policies and needs of Bolivia and with the needs of the private sector.
- An assessment of whether the Programme would be sufficiently integrated in the relevant existing institutional structures and Government policies.
- An assessment of how the Programme would benefit the general development aspects of Bolivia and fit into the Danida development policies.
- Identification of potential areas of risk during the proposed project implementation.
- Evaluation of existing private sector oriented organisations in terms of export advisory capabilities, the enterprise resource base and general institutional strength. 2 local partners’ organisations were selected for project implementation.
- An assessment of the export readiness and knowledge in selected companies with potential as case companies during classroom based training.
- An assessment of the resource base of potential trainees at existing private sector related organisations both central and regional.
- An assessment of the educational system and possibilities for vocational training for companies and institutions in the area of export skills.
